Manaus: Food Tour

3.Food Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.1 · 26 reviews · 3 hours · from $60

Spend three hours exploring Manaus’s Adolpho Lisboa Municipal Market with a bilingual guide, tasting tapioca, cupuaçu juice, Amazonian fruits, açaí, guaraná, and regional fish. Small groups are limited to 10, with hotel pickup and drop-off. Guides Felix and Josi have received especially warm praise, though English ability may vary.

“Guide had only a very basic knowledge of English. Difficult to comprehend him and difficult for him to understand us. He gave very little information to us about where we visited. The transportation was in his personal car that was way too small for a driver plus four adults passengers. He kept promising that a bigger car was coming but it never happened. He did not take us to see all the market. We missed the fish market almost totally. Saw only a bit of it as we later discovered on another market tour. This tour was not even worth half the value of what we paid. I will not…”

“We had a great experience with Jurema! She was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the tour really fun and easy to enjoy. She gave us loads of interesting information along the way and was always happy to help, not just during the tour but with tips for the rest of our trip too. The whole experience we really enjoyed trying the different types of food. Highly recommend her tour if you’re looking for something informative, relaxed, and full of good vibes!”
